There were so many special moments in this Alaska mountain elopement, it’s hard to decide where to start. Though if we had to choose one stand out impression from this day, it was the tenderness and sweet moments that can occur when a couple gets ready together. 10/10 would recommend to a friend- while we completely understand the allure and fun in the first look (we love them too!), for some couples getting ready together might feel like the right fit. The photos speak for themselves.
Kerry and Jay started their day in their Airbnb, where their hair and make up artist came to help them get ready. They share a relaxed, loving demeanor and were able to take their time getting dressed and ready for their day.
This special couple welcomed the idea of an organic floral aisle to softly define their ceremony space in the Alaskan mountains. We love how it brings the viewers eye from ground to the couple to the sky and back again. This brings a cohesiveness to the experience and the images from their elopement day. The mock orange in its peak expression looks as though it is growing straight from the ground. Kerry’s gown against the tundra and the mock orange blooms is pure magic!
After their ceremony, the couple took some time to rest before sharing their picnic. One of the beauties of an elopement is flexibility and having the freedom to take moments when needed. The moments can be for rest, or whatever the need may be! The misty mountains created a sweet cocoon for Kerry and Jay’s picnic. They enjoyed a spread of cheese, charcuterie, fruit and cake to complete their Alaska mountain elopement.
Congratulations to Kerry and Jay, we are honored to have been a part of your special day.
