A Hatcher Pass Vow Renewal

From the beginning, K & D knew they wanted something intentional and uncomplicated, an Alaska vow renewal that felt true to who they are now. Not a performance, not a production. Just space to honor their story as it exists today. Hatcher Pass in the fall gave us the perfect setting with tundra full of color, crisp air, and steady mountains.

We chose a quiet place out on the tundra for the ceremony and let simplicity lead. No distractions. Just the two of them, their dogs close by, and the landscape doing holding space.

After their vows, they lingered. Hot chocolate in hand, pizza shared at a picnic table on the tundra, laughter carried easily on the cool air. There was no rush, no agenda, just a pause. A small reflection of their weekly pizza nights at home, translated into the mountains.

Later, the Happy Cabin welcomed them in. They sat together with their dogs snuggled close in the cabin, talking quietly, letting comfortable silence fill the space between words. We focused on the in-between, the subtle gestures, the way they leaned into one another with ease and familiarity.

Our role was to curate the experience, thoughtfully planning the day, designing florals inspired by the surrounding landscape, and documenting each moment as it unfolded. Grounded, intentional, and shaped by the land and the love within it.
